Lady Blazers hold on to No. 2

MANILA, Philippines — St. Benilde went to Zam Nolasco when needed most as it turned back San Sebastian, 25-23, 25-9, 25-23, yesterday to stay at second spot in NCAA Season 100 women’s volleyball at the Filoil EcoOil Arena.

Down by six points, 14-8, in the opening set, Nolasco came off the bench to ignite a furious fight back to steal the set. She stepped up again in the third frame when the Lady Stags tried to steal a set.

It was an all-around effort for Nolasco, who led her team with 16 points, 11 of which came off attacks and the rest from blocks, as the Lady Blazers snared their third win in a row and 10th overall in 12 outings.
