MANILA, Philippines —  Falcons Reigning champion La Salle hardly broke a sweat in trashing Adamson, 82-52, to stay unblemished in the UAAP Season 87 yesterday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Archers raced to a 20-6 start to shoot down the Falcons there and then on their way to a massive 30-point victory, a stark contrast to their 78-75 comeback win over National U in their season debut.

La Salle this time around hardly needed any late-game heroics from MVP Kevin Quiambao, who still topscored with 21 points on top of five rebounds, four assists and two steals in only 25 minutes of play after a 22-point performance marked by the game-winning trey versus the Bulldogs.

David Andrei Dungo made impact with 15 points in only 14 minutes of play as reinforcement Henry Agunanne hauled down 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Later, Santo Tomas snapped a nine-year, 17-game losing drought against Ateneo with an impressive 74-64 win to also stay unbeaten in two games

Mo Tounkara (16), Gelo Crisostomo (16), Nic Cabañero (11) and Mark Llemit (10) showed the way for the 2-0 Tigers, who last won against the Eagles in Season 78 (2015) when they also finished as the No. 1 seed.

Ateneo, in a transition period, fell to a rare 0-2 start after six straight finals appearances that ended last year with a Final Four exit.
