MANILA, Philippines — Creamline faces a dangerous Cignal in a battle for the top spot in the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Cool Smashers emptied the Petro Gazz Angels’ tank with a 25-21, 25-20, 25-23 win last Thursday while Cignal swept Chery Tiggo, 28-26, 25-17, 25-23. They collide at 2:30 p.m.
“We hope to carry the confidence we gained from our last win to the next games,” said Creamline skipper Alyssa Valdez.
Creamline is seeking a historic Grand Slam after reigning supreme in the Open and Invitational conferences early this year.
The top two teams after the single-round semis would advance to the best-of-three finals set Thursday at PhilSports.
Petro Gazz and Chery Tiggo fight for dear life as the winner of their 5:30 p.m. showdown would keep its title bid alive. The loser goes on an early vacation.
