MANILA, Philippines — Nowhere to go but up.

Filipino-American alpine skier Asa Miller vowed to come through with a stronger effort in the 2022 Winter Olympics slated Feb. 4-20 in Beijing, China where he will be the country’s lone representative.

Miller, a 21-year-old Portland, Oregon native whose mother Polly Bisquera hails from Sta. Cruz, Manila, is eyeing to eclipse his performance in the 2018 edition in Pyeongchang, South Korea where he wound up 70th out of 110 giant slalom participants in his Olympics debut.

“I’ve been waiting four years for this experience and to come back and I’m looking forward to represent the Philippines better than I did the last time,” said Miller in an interview with Noli Eala’s Power and Play at One PH yesterday.

Miller joined a competition several days ago in Salt Lake City and is scheduled to see action in another one in a couple of days.
