Parks, Dolphins stretch win streak

MANILA, Philippines — Ray Parks Jr. celebrated Christmas away from home in triumphant fashion as the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins smothered Kyoto Hannaryz, 84-53, in the Japan B. League at the Dolphin’s Arena yesterday.
Parks chipped in five points on top of three rebounds and an assist for the Diamond Dolphins, who registered their sixth straight win for fifth place (15-7).
Scott Eatherton paced Nagoya with 21 points, Coty Clarke added 12, Taito Nakahigashi and Yusuke Karino threw in 10 apiece while former PBA import Rob Dozier had nine markers.
Javi Gomez de Liaño was also victorious in Ibaraki’s 79-67 decision over Shinshu at the White Ring Arena. He racked up six points and six rebounds as the Robots improved to 4-18.
Matthew Aquino got blanked in limited action for Shinshu, which slid to eighth straight loss for a 9-13 card.
