Master Sardines joins PBA 3x3

MANILA, Philippines — Master Sardines has bared its serious intention to join the PBA 3x3, becoming the second guest team in the inaugural league after the Zamboanga Valientes MLV.

The ballclub, under Universal Canning Inc., has sent a letter of intent to the PBA for the three-a-side league kicking off side by side with Season 46 next month.

Also based in Zambaonga, the squad is looking to continue its success following impressive stints in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 and Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL).

Made up of top PBA rookie picks Joshua Munzon, Alvin Pasaol, Troy Rike and Santi Santillan, Zamboanga-Family’s Brand Sardines ruled the 2020 Chooks 3x3 President’s Cup at the Calamba bubble in Laguna.

Its other squad in Bacolod – Master Sardines, led by another PBA draftee in Anton Asistio, finished at sixth place.
