MANILA, Philippines — The Alabang Country Club and Club 515 face severe sanctions for violation of the government protocols on safety and health, particularly against holding of tournaments in areas placed under quarantine restrictions.

Club 515 hosted the 14th PEMCOR Cup at the posh club in Muntinlupa last Aug. 28-29 where participants allegedly even did not wear face masks.

“Our group has forwarded the case to the IATF and the National Task Force on COVID-19 was already given instructions to implement the decision. I am not at liberty to disclose it,” said Baham Mitra, chairman of the Games and Amusements Board, which along with the Philippine Sports Commission and the Department of Health form the tripartite body that created the JAO (Joint Administrative Order) for the conduct of sports during the coronavirus health crisis.
