Sea Lions out to put wraps on UCBL crown

Buoyed by their thrilling 64-62 win in the opener of the best-of-three title series last Thursday, the Sea Lions are raring to go flat out in the 12 noon match to finally get back at the top-seeded Blue Dragons.

MANILA, Philippines — Olivarez College tries to put the disappointments of past two finals defeats behind when it goes for a sweep of the PG Flex Linoleum-UCBL championship against defending champion Diliman College today at the Olivarez College gym in Parañaque City.

Buoyed by their thrilling 64-62 win in the opener of the best-of-three title series last Thursday, the Sea Lions are raring to go flat out in the 12 noon match to finally get back at the top-seeded Blue Dragons.

The Sea Lions lost to the Blue Dragons, 2-1, last year, and Olivarez coach Myk Saguiguit believes they now have a good chance of exacting revenge, noting that maturity of his players, especially Jayboy Solis.

Solis made his MVP coronation more memorable by leading the Sea Lions with 21 points, five rebounds, two assists and the same number of steals in Game One.
