MAD Sa Pasay Derby on today
MANILA,Philippines — The Pasay City Cockpit stages three big time stagfests this week, beginning with the MAD Sa Pasay 5-Stag Derby today.
Today’s showdown of provincial cockers will be hosted by Mamad Villarubio of Pampanga and Dyland Castillo of Batangas, best known for winning the 2013 ‘Bakbakan’ title with Charlie “Atong” Ang.
Supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the cockfight festival at PCC continues on Thursday via the Encuentro Big Event 6-Stag Derby (144 fights). A cash pot of P2 million awaits the winners (individual and team champions, said Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) president Nick Crisostomo.
The following day, the so-called heavyweights of cockfighting led by eight-time World Slasher Cup champion Patrick Antonio compete in the Miggy Big Event 6-Stag Derby. Bulacan’s Michael Tiqui will host the event which will feature more than 100 fights.
