MANILA, Philippines — Reigning champion San Beda puts its unblemished slate on the line when it takes on the dangerous College of St. Benilde nearing the end of the first round of the NCAA Season 95 seniors basketball tournament today at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The pacesetting Red Lions gun for an eighth win in a row against the second-running Blazers in the 12 noon opener.

Coming off a huge 88-73 statement win over fierce rival and back-to-back runner-up Lyceum, San Beda troops to the battle brimming with confidence and motivation especially with its unbeaten slate at stake.

Meanwhile, Lyceum (6-2) shoots for a rebound against the lowly Arellano U (1-6) in the main game at 4 p.m.

At 2 p.m., San Sebastian and Perpetual Help clash in a duel of teams welcoming the return of their coaches.

SSC coach Egay Macaraya returns from a one-game suspension while Altas mentor Frankie Lim will be back from a one-game leave.

Though highly favored, SBC coach Boyet Fernandez warns his wards not to be complacent as the Red Lions play no easy opponent in CSB which has been the league’s revelation this season.
