‘Bakbakan’ commences with 2-stag elims

MANILA, Philippines — The International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders (FIGBA) launches today the “Bakbakan Early Bird 9-Stag Derby” starting with the 2-stag elims at Caybiga Cockpit Arena in Caybiga, Caloocan City.

Members of the Bulacan Gamefowl Breeders Association (BGBA), headed by its new president Rey Briones, have confirmed their participation in the event with an entry fee of P5,500 and guaranteed prize of P10 million, according to FIGBA president Ricoy Palmares Jr.

The 4-stag finals will be held simultaneously in various venues nationwide on Aug. 31.

The Bakbakan 12-Stag National Derby starts in October,” said Palmares.
