MANILA, Philippines – The Ateneo Lady Eagles are champions once again after defeating the UST Golden Tigresses in sweep fashion, 25-17, 25-22, 25-22, in Game Three of the UAAP women's volleyball finals at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.

Bea de Leon, Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag and Kim Gequillana thus end their UAAP careers with their first title since Season 77.

UST's one-two punch of Sisi Rondina and Eya Laure struggled to get any offensive rhythm going.

Laure played through an injury she suffered in Game Two.

Banking on the strength of their middle blockers, Ateneo shut the doors on UST's offense.

Katipunan-based veterans Ponggay Gaston and Deanna Wong also had big games in their title-clinching victory.

MVP Rondina and UST libero Rica Rivera finish their collegiate careers with a silver medal.
