MANILA, Philippines – The FEU Lady Tamaraws boosted their Final Four bid after outplaying the UP Lady Maroons in four sets, 25-21, 19-25, 25-23, 25-22, in the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball competition at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday.
Raining 16 aces on the misreceiving Diliman-based squad, the Lady Tamaraws were able to avenge their first round loss against the Lady Maroons.
Veterans Heather Guino-o and Jer Malabanan led the way against UP.
FEU bounced back after their loss against Ateneo and improved to a 7-4 record for a share of the third spot.
Meanwhile, UP slid to a 6-5 slate.
