MANILA, Philippines — RR Pogoy fired practically from all over the floor in his return from his Gilas stint and best demonstrated the explosive game TNT KaTropa dished out to fashion out the most lopsided game in PBA Season 44 thus far versus a hapless Blackwater side last night at the Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo.

Pogoy scored on drives, connected from afar and finished a fastbreak play on a slam to highlight a 28-point game and a mind-boggling 26-to-nothing TNT run to start the fourth quarter en route to a big 127-89 rout of the Elite in this Petron Blaze Saturday Special.

Jericho Cruz, Troy Rosario, Ryan Reyes and Don Trollano had their own explosions as the KaTropa roared to a third straight win and once again drew level with the San Miguel Beermen at third place at 5-3.

The Elite, meanwhile, dropped deeper down the cellar at 2-7.

Back from sickbay, Pogoy displayed his hottest form in a long while, converting 13-of-17 field-goal attempts including two three-pointers that spiked their fourth-quarter tear opening a wide 44-point spread at 116-72.

Ian Sangalang, Paul Lee and Mark Barroca pumped in at least 19 points each as Magnolia reasserted its mastery of Alaska Milk, 103-86, to catch up with NorthPort at ninth place at 2-4 later in the night.

“We’ve all decided to consider all our remaining games as do-or-die matches. We got this game and we’ll keep the same mindset in our hope to salvage a berth in the quarterfinals,” said Sangalang, standing out with game-highs of 24 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.
