Pacres back in fiery form for UST

MANILA, Philippines – After an injury to Milena Alessandrini, UST veteran Dimdim Pacres has found herself back in the Golden Tigresses starting lineup.

Pacres was quick to reward her coach's trust with a breakthrough 11-point outing in the Golden Tigresses’ three-set stunner against DLSU in the 81st UAAP women’s volleyball tourney on Wednesday.

Despite playing only scarcely in UST's first four games of the season, the Espana volleybelle didn't show any rust. 

Pacres attacked with hard hits that sent the Lady Spikers’ defense reeling.

"It's good to be back sa UAAP kasi last season, sobrang pangit nung pinakita ko," Pacres said.

"Ngayon, ito yung magandang chance para sa akin at para sa team," she added.

The UST senior will likely see more action in their coming games as the Golden Tigresses continue to recover from Alessandrini's injury.

Wanting to make the most of her last playing year in the UAAP, Pacres sets her sights to contribute for UST in any way she can.

"Ready ako lagi," Pacres said.
