PVL crown for Batangueños

MANILA, Philippines — Alyssa Valdez has an extra motivation as Creamline goes for the clincher against Ateneo-Motolite for the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference diadem – share the glorious moment with her fellow Batangueños.

The Cool Smashers and the Lady Eagles bring their act to Batangas City Coliseum today, with the former eyeing to claim their second straight title via a sweep of the best-of-three finals against the latter which vows to force the winner-take-all.

Match is at 4 p.m. following  Game Two of the best-of-three duel for the bronze between leading BanKo-Perlas against Petro Gazz at 2 p.m.

“This doesn’t happen often,” said Valdez, referring to the possibility of getting the crown right in her home province. “It’s also one way of giving back also, that those who came from Batangas will always return to where they started which is our hometown. Hopefully, we will be able to give it (the championship) to them.”

“We’re just happy that we will be able to share the entertainment to more people, which is bringing the games to Batangas. It’s a big factor that we have a seventh man who will cheer for us no matter what happens,” she also said.
