FIGBA derby goes full blast

MANILA, Philippines — The FIGBA National Bakbakan 12-stag derby, an annual stagfest with a nationwide following, will hold 23 elimination round matches in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao this week.

Seventeen member associations affiliated with FIGBA (International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders Associations) have 21 schedules at various venues with the locally banded Bakbakan stags allowed until Nov. 7.

FIGBA will stage the three-stag national elims on Oct. 24 at the Kaybiga Cockpit in Caloocan and on Oct. 25 at the Gallera de Mandaue in Cebu in partnership with guests Bulacan Gamefowl Club and Visayas SUGBO.

Bakbakan 2018 is organized by FIGBA, co-presented by Thunderbird, B-Meg Integra Power Maxx, Excellence Poultry and Livestock Specialist, and held in cooperation with LDI, Hagibis, Salto, Pit Fighter, VNJ Distributors and Mad Science.
