MANILA, Philippines — Stanley Pringle pulled a steal then stuffed in a one-handed dunk to cap a jaw-dropping 50-point show as GlobalPort made a big turnaround from a shattering loss two nights back, blasting Columbian Dyip, 133-115, to all but seal a playoff entry in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last night.

Pringle sizzled with a 9-of-16 three-point shooting and 18-of-30 clip overall and added 5-of-5 charities in making the first 50-point game by a PBA local player in 14 years.

The Penn State product also came through with six assists, five rebounds and three steals against four turnovers in what’s easily his finest PBA showing that propelled the Batang Pier to their fifth win against the same number of defeats.

Malcolm White produced 28 points and 14 rebounds while Jonathan Grey and Sean Anthony contributed 16 and 12 points, respectively, as GlobalPort pushed Columbian Dyip to the brink of elimination with a 4-7 card.

Later in the night, TNT KaTropa endured the ouster of Josh Smith on a suspected fractured nose midway through the third period, withstanding Meralco, 91-85, to tie its victim at third place at 7-3.

Troy Rosario, Jayson Castro and Jericho Cruz carried the offensive load on Smith’s exit as the Texters checked a two-game skid and snapped the Bolts’ four-game romp.
