The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — The second UNTV Cup Executive Face-Off gets going tomorrow with the seniors, including senators, justices and generals, taking center stage at the Pasig City Sports Center.

Armed Forces ruled the inaugural staging of the event organized by the UNTV CEO and chairman Daniel Razon last year with the Cavaliers all set to duplicate their feat capped by their 75-71 overtime win over the Philippine National Police Responders.

Aside from the PNP, out to foil AFP’s back-to-back title drive are Department of Justice, GSIS, Judiciary, Malacañang-Philippine Sports Commission and Senate.

Presidential Special Assistant Bong Go is expected to lead the Malacañang Kamao, who settled for a runner-up finish in the regular tournament won by the Senate Defenders.

A simple opening ceremony at 3 p.m. ushers in the second edition of the event with Wishcovery grand champion Princess Sevillena providing the entertainment before the drawing of lots for the day’s two matches.
