Beltran-De Lara, Antonil-Rodelas top Fore by Four tilt

MANILA, Philippines — Erwin Beltran and Edgardo De Lara assembled 127 points at the Dye and Norman courses while Manolo Antonil and Mar Rodelas combined for 130 at the Faldo and Aoki layouts as they shared the overall net championships in the Fore by Four tournament at the Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite recently.

But it was the Lindsay Salilig-Bernard Chang pair who drove home with a brand new Toyota Wigo each, the grand prize during the awards night of the one-day event sponsored by Ford Group, Kambal Pandesal, LK Golf and Rizgolf.

Gilbert Ruetas and Manolo Buri topped Class A with 123 points; Rolando Tolores and Rudy Ragragio netted 129 in Class B; Lauro Baldo and Harold Fernandez took the Class C crown with a 123; and Gaylord Calibuso and Gil Pena triumphed in Class D with a 130.
Sharing the spotlight were Andy Tahimic, who scored a hole-in-one on No. 6 of Faldo using a Cleveland 6-iron and TaylorMade Burner ball, and Cavite businessman Teo Agoncillo, who aced Dye’s No. 17 with a Callaway 9-iron RAZR and #1 Titleist Pro-V1 ball.

Arlette Dizon and Sheila Ward, meanwhile, scored 124 points to beat the Korean pair of Jang Hyang-suk and Jung Hee-kyoung by four in the ladies division. Federation League players Lee Tong-hwa and Oh Jie-sik turned in 129 to claim the member-member division title.
