MANILA, Philippines — Alyssa Valdez will return to her home province as the second leg of the Premier Volleyball League’s “PVL on Tour” visits Batangas City on Sunday.
Valdez will take a break from her stint as an import of Chinese Taipei club team Attack Line to play for her local mother squad Creamline when they take on Banko-Perlas at 6 p.m. at the Batangas City Sports Complex.
Valdez is also scheduled to see action at the Iloilo Sports Complex on October 17 and La Salle Colisuem in Bacolod the next day.
“She (Valdez) will play in Batangas, Iloilo and Bacolod,” said Charo Soriano, whose group Grid Athletic Sports is co-organizing the PVL on Tour with the PVL.
In Valdez’s absence, the Cool Smashers turned back the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors, 25-19, 29-27, 23-25, 25-22, with Jia Morado leading the way in the PVL on Tour’s first leg at the People’s Gym in Tuguegarao Saturday.
Now they play a Perlas-Banko team that pulled off a come-from-behind 25-27, 22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 16-14 win over a Grethcel Soltones-led Bali Pure side.
Pocari Sweat and Bali Pure, for their part, collide in the other second game offering at 7:30 p.m.
