MANILA, Philippines — Adamson University ripped hapless Technological Institute of the Philippines, 25-12, 25-14, 25-13, to stretch its perfect run to three in Group B in the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan yesterday.
Jema Galanza fired 18 points she spiked with 11 digs and five excellent receptions while Joy Dacoron added 12 markers for the Lady Falcons who remained the sole unbeaten squad in their group.
Fenela Emnas orchestrated AdU’s attacks with 23 excellent sets.
The Lady Engineers slipped to 0-3.
AdU rained hits on TIP, connecting with 44 swings while facing little opposition from the Lady Engineers who only mustered 19 spikes.
Led by Galanza’s six aces, the Lady Falcons also fed on the poor service reception of TIP, landing 12 from the service line, seven more than the Lady Engineers.
In men’s play, Marck Espejo and Gian Glorioso combined for 25 points as Ateneo blasted University of the Philippines, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18, to stay unscathed in five matches and secure a semifinal seat.
The Maroons slid to their second straight loss for a 1-3 card.
Meanwhile, La Salle pounced on San Beda in the last two sets, 25-16, 23-25, 25-16, 32-30, to score back-to-back victories and improve to 3-2.
The Green Spikers stayed at third behind pacesetting Blue Eagles and Far Eastern University (3-1).
Cris Dumago (23 points), Raymark Woo (19) and Arjay Onia (16) teamed up for the Green Spikers as they shoved the Red Spikers to a 1-3 slate and a share of sixth and seventh spots with UP.

National University shook off a slow start and withstood the tough challenge posed by Far Eastern University as it subdued the Lady Tamaraws, 22-25, 28-26, 29-27, 25-22, to notch its third straight win in as many games and wrest the solo lead in Group A.
FEU, meanwhile, absorbed its first loss for joint second and third with Ateneo at 2-1.
