MANILA, Philippines - More than 900 multisport athletes gear up for the Bike King Duathlon this Sunday along SCTEX and Alviera in Porac, Pampanga.
Gunstart is at 6 a.m. with the event feature two categories – the “long distance” 6km run-60km bike-4km run for the seasoned participants, and the “short distance” – 3km run-30km bike-2km run.
At stake are cash prizes of P10,000, P6,000 and P4,000 for the top three male/female winners in the Elite category plus trophies and gifts. All top three male/female category winners will also receive trophies and gift packs while one trophy will be given to each of the top three in the team competitions. The top three relay teams will receive trophies.
The first leg of the run will be held through the streets of Alviera. Upon reaching the halfway mark, they head back to the transition area to retrieve their bikes on their way to the Floridablanca exit and return to Porac to complete a loop of 30 km along the SCTEX.
