Reyes bittersweet despite Petron's historic PSL feat

MANILA, Philippines — Petron's Mika Reyes admitted that she felt bittersweet after the Blaze Spikers dethroned F2 Logistics Cargo Movers for the 2017 Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino championship on Tuesday night.
"Syempre aaminin ko rin medyo nalungkot ako, former teammates ko pa rin sila," Reyes said.
"Alam mo 'yung nakaka-off lang and ayaw ko silang nakikitang umiiyak," Reyes explained.
The 23-year-old was eventually awarded as second best middle blocker.
Petron's Sisi Rondina chipped in 16 points while conference's Most Valuable Player Aiza Maizo-Pontillas chimed in 14 more.
F2's Majoy Baron and Ara Galang received the first best middle block and second best open spiker plum respectively.
Petron's Rhea Dimaculangan took home the best setter award.
Other awardees were Foton's Jaja Santiago and EJ Laure who notched the best opposite spiker and first best open spiker trophy while Cignal's Jheck Dionela was awarded as best libero.
The Blaze Spikers ruled the 2014 PSL All-Filipino conference with a historic 13-0 record. – Aaron Brennt B. Eusebio
