MANILA, Philippines - Color Manila, which has organized concept-fun runs the past four years, is holding the fifth Color Manila Fun Run for 3K, 5K, 10K and 21K runs on Jan. 8 at the Mall of Asia (MOA) grounds in Pasay.

“We usually like starting the year with a big bang,” said Color Manila vice president Justin Corder during a press conferene at Kerry Sports, Shangri-La at the Fort.

Color Manila president Jay Em said several other events will again  be held in various provinces across the country – in Davao, Ilocos Sur, Iloilo, Cebu, Pangasinan, Bacolod, La Union and Isabela.

“For 2017, we are going back to these locations and we are also adding events in  Boracay, Bohol, Rizal, Abra and Cagayan de Oro,” he said. “We have also partnered with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), since it is also one way to encourage sports tourism in the country.

Color Manila has also plans to enter Dubai, United Arab Emirates and the US.

“We were more than inspired by our win at the Asia Sports Industry Awards (SPIA), that as a Philippine sports entity, we can compete internationally. Perhaps on our fifth year, this will be the perfect time to enter the international market.  We are indeed ready to bring that Filipino brand of fun and excitement to other parts of the world,” said Em.

For the remainder of 2016, Color Manila still has on its calendar the CM Black Light Run at Clark, Pampanga tomorrow and the CM Black Light Run in Dagupan on Dec. 10.
