Figba 12-stag semis unfolds at Roligon
MANILA, Philippines – Action in the FIGBA National Bakbakan 12-stag derby heats up today with the staging of the semifinal round at the Roligon Mega Cockpit.
Entries with two points or better after the 144-field eliminations slug it out in the four-stag semis with the other set clashing on Dec. 3, 6 and 8 (3-stag) and on Dec. 10 (4-stag).
The nationwide derby drew 6,700 entries, according to FIGBA president Ricoy Palmares Jr. with the finals slated on Dec. 13 (for members of MMGBA, UCBA, UPBA and UMIGBA) and on Dec. 15 (for those with 6.5 points) and on Dec. 17 among seven pointers.
The FIGBA (International Federation of Gamefowl Breeders, Inc.) is backed by 6,000 gamefowl breeders of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao while the Bakbakan 2016 is co-presented by Thunderbird the Winning Formula and B-MEG Integra Power Maxx and held in cooperation with Excellence Poultry & Livestock Specialists, Lakpue Drug Inc., Hagibis, Salto, Vitarich Titan, Vio-Plus, Pit Fighter and Mad Science.
