Perps out to clinch national college crown
MANILA, Philippines – Perpetual Help shoots for the big one after a pair of runner-up finishes as the 11th National Cheerleading Competition (NCC) college division unfurls today at the MOA Arena.
The Perps Squad will be fresh from regaining the title in the NCAA cheerleading competition and will be all-inspired to challenge fellow favorites National University and Central Colleges of the Philippines for the crown.
“That’s our dream, to win the NCC title again,” said Perpetual coach and trainer Ruffa Rosario.
In the NCC’s first 10 editions, the Las Piñas-based cheerleaders won the event twice, the first in its maiden season in 2006 and the other in 2009.
Since then, Perpetual Help has never won it again and instead finished third thrice and second the same number of times including the last two years when it ended up the bridesmaid behind eventual champions CCP and NU.
It could end this year.
