LSGH holds off CKSC, keeps Milcu cage lead
MANILA, Philippines – La Salle Greenhills-B turned back Chiang Kai Shek College, 50-44, to notch its eighth win in the 13-under division of the Milcu Got Skills Hard To Guard basketball tournament at the Lyceum gym recently.
Matthew Concepcion shot 18 points and hauled down seven rebounds to power the Greenies past the CKSC cagers for the No. 1 spot in the tournament sponsored by Milcu and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.
In other 13-U results, Jethro Escoto scored 19 points as University of Santo Tomas downed Pinoy Youth Dreamers, 62-55, while National University routed the Blue Eagles, 76-24, in the tournament backed by Gatorade, LGR, Slam, Mighty Sports, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Secret Fresh Ronac, Coach Athletic Trainers Tape, Magic 89.9, Enderun College and Lyceum.
In the 12-U, De La Salle-Zobel trounced Chiang Kai Shek College, 55-40; Xavier held off La Salle College Antipolo, 61-55, Arellano dominated Diliman College, 80-38; and St. Clare College thwarted College of Saint Benilde, 60-54; while St. Dominic Savio College subdued La Salle College Antipolo, 61-55, in the 25-U class.
