NCA world tilt unfolds January 19

MANILA, Philippines - The National Cockers Alliance World Championship gets going on Jan. 19 with top local and international breeders and cockers clashing for the crown with their respective aces at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Famous American cock breeders Roger Robert, Lee Ves, and Oscar Hickens banner the foreign contingent in the event, dubbed as the Olympics of cockfighting which could rival the world famous derbies in Sunset, Louisiana in prestige and quality of fights.

The event will be launched in a press conference tomorrow at 12 noon.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix group owned by Mario Villamor and the Firefly side owned by Ernie Austria and Jun Soriano scored five points apiece to share top honors in the third leg of the six-cock NCA derby recently.

Atong Ang’s AA Cobra and Rene Medina’s Lucky Money finished with 4.5 points while Kons. Kit Udavias’ Barkadahan ng Rizal, Atong Ang’s Konti Lang, Jun N Rudy Jungco’s Jimafer BG, Cong. Patrick Antonio’s National Barkadahan 15M, and Osang dela Cruz’s Goldquest Champions LDI wound up with four points each.
