Phoenix Petroleum Amateur Open last leg slated Oct 16

MANILA, Philippines - Phoenix Petroleum Philippines will stage the final tournament of the Phoenix Premium 98 Amateur Open Series presented by Mechatrends on Oct. 16 at the Beverly Place Golf Club in Mexico, Pampanga.

The leading independent oil firm expects no less than 100 participants in the third and final leg of the series just like the two previous events held at the Cebu Country Club and Manila Southwoods.

“We’re happy with the successful results in Cebu Country Club and Southwoods and we hope to achieve that in Beverly, too,” said Phoenix Petroleum vice-president Raymond Zorrilla.

Phoenix Petroleum president and CEO Dennis Uy and Sta. Lucia chairman Vicente Santos are the lead personalities who will hit the ceremonial ball in the one-day affair sponsored by Magsaysay Transport Logistics Services and BDO-Unibank.

Ford Pampanga, VMJ Evergreen, Pioneer Insurance, Foton, Tata, GPS Tracker, 3636, Landbank, Mercedes-Benz, Union Bank, TOIC, Green Future, Cebu Pacific, China Bank, Steel Asia, and Globe are backers.
