Alonte-Valencia rules NCA derby

MANILA, Philippines - Art Alonte and Ricky Valencia’s Ama Scorpio scored six points to clinch top honors in the National Cockers Alliance six-cock derby at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City last week.

National Barkadahan Championships of Eric dela Rosa, Pasay Big Event 7-Cock Feb. 13 Firefly 13 of Patrick Antonio, and AA Jade Resort of Arman Santos shared second place with five points each while Boy de Roca of Boy de Roca, AG Polo of Alan Tan, and JM Binangonan of Nad Mendoza finished with 4.5 points apiece.

EDL Excellence JB of Doc. Ayong Lorenzo and Gov. Baac, Jobo Lucban of Anthony Lim and Lito O., Karambola of M.P.V, BM88 Mabalasik of Ka Luding, Firefly 13 Sagupaan of Ernie Austria, RJM EP NM Sundance of Muroy and Dynasty of Henry Tan all wound up with four points each in the event hosted by Ito Ynares and Ronnie Puno.

Meanwhile, the NCA will hold another six-cocker on Feb. 10 with Patrick Antonio, Atong Ang, Efren Canlas, Nad Mendoza and the Firefly Group heading the cast against NCA roster led by Rene Medina, Eric dela Rosa, Tommy Chua, Osang dela Cruz, Elan Nagano, IKA, Edgar Santos, Ruel Ricafort, Ito Ynares, Ronnie Puno, Jun Topacio, Federico Gatchalian and Peter Unabia.

Others fielding in their top entries in the event, sponsored by Sagupaan Complexor, are Ador Pleyto, Paul Estrellado, Arnold Mendoza, Claude Bautista, Jun Soriano, Vic Yap, Pipo Soliman, Manny and Arman Santos, Joel Teves, Harold Ramos, Mario Villamor, Luding Boongaling, Barkadahan ng Rizal and Jimafer.
