MACAU – Chris Algieri tipped the scales at 144.2 pounds, two-tenths of a pound over the catch weight limit of 144 pounds, in the official weigh-in ceremony Saturday for his fight against Manny Pacquiao at the Cotai Arena of The Venetian Macao here.

Pacquiao, meanwhile, had no problem meeting the contracted weight, hitting the scales at 143.8 pounds.

The undefeated American initially weighed 144.4 pounds, after which he stripped naked but still exceeded the limit.

Algieri has two hours to shed the excess weight.
