Cham, Laforteza best in ABC bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Jerry Canuday Cham of Boysen Paints rolled a six-game series of 1316 to cop the Group 1 crown while Lou Laforteza of Emerald Pipes took the Group 2 plum with a 1172 in the Architects Bowling Club’s Circuit singles event at E Lanes, Ortigas Avenue, Greenhills, San Juan City, last week.

Eugene Ferraris of Crown Pipes finished second with a 1310 and Buddy Segui of American Wires had a 1272 for third in Group 1 of the weekly event sponsored by Boysen and Nation Paints.

Bryan Soliven of Matson Builders scored 1127 while Jho Madrinan of Romari Constructions submitted 1045 to place second and third, respectively, in Group 2.

Meanwhile, ABC past president Ronnie Javier, playing for Team Boysen, scored his first perfect game 300 at CREBA Bowling Tournament at E Lanes Center last week.

The ABC weekly tournament, backed by DN Steel, E.S.Vidal Builders, Goldbridge Neighborhood Dental, Steeltech, Moldex Pipes, PNS Advanced Steel Tech, Coach Furnitures, Miraga Trading, WeKonstruct, Morning Sun, Consnet Builders, Novelle Furnitures, Glass Asia, Philflex Wires and Cables, Duraflex TW/THHN/THW Wires, Concrete Ventures and Boysen Acrytex/Healthy Homes/Knoxout/Wallguard, resumes at 7 tonight with the holding of monthly championship, also at E Lanes.
