UAAP postpones Wednesday games

MANILA, Philippines – Due to the threat of typhoon “Glenda” in Luzon, the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) board announced Tuesday the postponement of men's and women's basketball games scheduled tomorrow.

The Twitter account of UAAP Sports TV (@UAAPsportsTV) relayed the message of UAAP Board Secretary Rod Roque about the postponement of games at the Mall of Asia Arena and Blue Eagle Gym in Ateneo de Manila University.

The affected men's games are University of Santo Tomas (0-1) against University of the East (1-0) and Adamson University (0-1) versus Far Eastern University (1-0).

"Please wait for further announcement as to when these games will be re-scheduled," said Roque.

Glenda, the seventh storm this year, made landfall in Sorsogon this afternoon, dumping heavy rains on most parts of Luzon.
