MANILA, Philippines - Olivarez College turned on the heat in the middle periods and came away with an abbreviated 81-63 romp over Philippine School of Business Administration to finish second at the close of the elims in the 21st National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) basketball tournament at the Olivarez College gym in Sucat yesterday.

Eldridge Corpuz fired 12 points while Franklin Mancio added 10 markers for the Sea Lions, who pulled away in the second and third quarters to post their ninth win in 12 games.

They were up by 18 points with three minutes left in the contest when a power outage disrupted the game, forcing the Jaguars to concede the match.

Last week, the St. Clare College Saints, led by Mark Dulalia, Jayson Ibay and Dennis Santos, trounced the La Salle-Dasmarinas Patriots, 100-48, to sweep the elims.

As No. 2, the Sea Lions earned a twice-to-beat incentive.
