Dy, Del Rosario remain at helm in Valiant bowl

MANILA, Philippines - Francis Dy and Leah del Rosario sustained their pace and kept the lead in the doubles event with 14,515 pinfalls in Week 8 of the Valiant Bowling League’s Second Conference at the Pearl Bowling Center in Manila recently.

National bowler Liza del Rosario and partner Jacinto Uy pooled 14,114 to remain in second while St. Jude Catholic alumni Marcus Ong and Margaret Koh assembled 14,096 for third heading to the last four weeks of the weekly tournament.

Limson U. and Douglas U. scored 13,997 while Pol Custodio and Bobby Gonzales had 14,010 for fifth in the event which drew 22 teams.

Jasper Soon shot 982 to top the monthly tournament, beating John Sy, who had 967, and Joderick Café, who made 950.

Backing the event are PG Flex Linoleum, Kentucky Manufacturing Corp., Pet City Hobby Specialist, Arowana Tshirt, New Dynasty China Airline, Sanctuarium, Joseph Yang, Ben Rey, Cheson Electrical, CLYK Commercial, John Tan, Walker Underwear, Sun Joy, Fruits in Bloom, GS Go Bros, Inc., JMagos Plumbing Works, AXA Insurance Binondo, SMC Home Builders, Wilson and Jackson Repair Shop, 1st Estan Trading Co. and TRACK Bowling Balls.
