Blackwater eyes FIBA 3x3 semis

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines struck back and beat Mongolia and Sri Lanka to arrange a quarterfinal showdown with Jordan in the inaugural FIBA Asia 3x3 Championship for Men and Women at the Villaggio Mall in Doha, Qatar recently.

Composed of Bacon Austria, Kevin Ferrer, Robby Celiz and Gio Ciriacruz, the Nationals, represented by the PBA D-League Blackwater team, succumbed to the Qatar Maroons, 11-21, in the elims but bounced back strong against Mongolia, 21-15, before blasting Sri Lanka, 17-9.
