4-cock derby on at Elorde's

MANILA, Philippines - Sportsman-businessman Johnny Elorde’s 4-cock Battle of Champions gets under way today, at 6 p.m., at the Elorde Cockpit Stadium on Sucat Road, Parañaque.

The guaranteed prize is P300,000 with the winning handler and gaffer receiving P20,000 and P10,000, respectively.

Weight limit is between 1.8 and 2.5 kilos.

Among the early participants are Arcal Astoga, Vice-Mayor Ruben, Taguba, Marlon (Wolverine Buyog Elorde), Butchoy and Erick dela Rosa, Alex Tobias and Jessy Marquez (Silver Mallet). More entries are expected from Biñan, San Pedro, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, La Piñas and Pasay.
