Duelo b'dminton levelling slated at Powersmash

MANILA, Philippines - Duelo, one of the biggest and most-awaited badminton tournaments this year, will hold its first levelling day tomorrow from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Powersmash Badminton Court in Makati City.

Other levelling dates are on March 17 and 24, also at Powersmash, and on April 1 at Don Antonio Sports Center in Quezon City.

The tournament proper will be held April 21, 22 and 28 at Powersmash. Competitions will be on age group (14 and Under/18 and Under), the men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles. All players will be classified according to their skills. Levels will be from Open to level G.

Duelo’s final matches will be held on April 28 with awards rites to be held at Hard Rock Café in Glorietta, Makati City.

The tournament will also feature the automated system provided by Arowai IT Solutions, from registration to the scoring system down to the match control. Each player will be given an identification number for easy tracking in registration, match schedules and standings.

Duelo is produced by A’s LeadVentures Inc. headed by Aileen Borcelis and managed by Blue Dragons, which also organized DHS Badminton Cup, Met Tathione Cup, Kapisanan Ng Mga Brodkasters ng Pilipinas Badminton Challenge and the Mizuno Badminton Open.
