4 cars staked for aces as Shaw golf unfolds

MANILA, Philippines - The 21st Bill Shaw Golf Classic gets under way today with four brand-new Mitsubishi cars up for grabs for hole-in-one feats at Wack Wack’s west course.

The first batch of the 288 two-man teams takes their shot for the cars starting at 6 a.m. with the second round slated on Friday. The other half of the starting field will play tomorrow and Saturday.

Held in honor of Wack Wack founder Bill Shaw and co-presented by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines and Union Motors Corp., the event features competitions in Groups I, II and III and the seniors division.

A brand-new Mitsubishi Montero will also be offered as the grand raffle prize during the awards rites on Saturday, according to Wack Wack president Luis Tan and sports and games committee chair Tommy Tan.
