MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Chess Club announces the holding of an 1850 below standard chess tourney on Aug. 15 at the lower 2F of St. Francis Square located behind SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
This monthly tourney is open to beginners,unrated and rated players with NCFP standard ratings not over 1850. Two schedules are available, namely: the two-day event with 90 minutes time control and the one-day affair with shorter time control in the first three games. The two-day chessfest will start at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 15 while the one-day tourney is set at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16.
