NCA stages 12th derby at Ynares

MANILA, Philippines - The 12th derby of the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) will be held today at the Ynares Center in Pasig City to be hosted by top cockfighting aficionados Manny and Arman Santos.

The event is part of the quest for the Cocker of the Year plum. The sportsman who garners the most number of wins during regular NCA derbies and the World Slasher Championship Derby on May 19, 21, and 23 will be crowned the year’s top cocker.

Among the frontrunners for the NCA plum are: Trofacir/Phoenix with 43 points, Diego/Huling Tala with 37 points, SF Firefly III with 33 1/2 points, Sagupaan Complexor with 32 1/2 points, Jimafer BG with 32 1/2 points, and D’Buen GR with 32 points.

The next NCA derby will be held on April 28 and will be hosted by the Batangas and Cebu Group and Danny Teves.
