PhilJunGolf Tour stages Pancake House All-Star golf

MANILA, Philippines - The PhilJunGolf Tour (PJGT), in cooperation with Pancake House, will stage The Pancake House Junior All-Star Inaugural on March 26-27 with some of the country’s top and promising jungolfers competing at the north course of the Canlubang golf complex in Laguna.

The event is part of the Pancake House Champions League, an offshoot of last year’s Pancake House JunGolfers team where 21 young and talented golfers were provided assistance in line with Pancake House’s commitment to support sports that can help instill and develop strong values of leadership, citizenship, and sportsmanship to young kids.

“Through this tournament, Pancake House establishes its name as a staunch supporter of a worthwhile advocacy like the promotion of sports to the youth,” said Johannes Jahns of GmaxSPORTS, organizer of the event.

The Pancake House Junior All-Star Inaugural will not only bring an elite sport to the masses but also help young golfers get the much-needed exposure.

“Competition of the PJGT’s Pancake House Champions League will be held once a month on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) on a 36-hole format. Practice rounds will be played on the preceding weekends,” said Danny Daez, chairman of The PJGT.

Meanwhile, the Pancake House Champions League will also establish the “The Pancake House Order of Merit” which will form a nationwide ranking of the players in each age group. It is linked to the PJGT Scholarship Program with top players earning educational scholarships.
