Being There is going there

-
Proving herself peerless in the short distance races, Aussie-bred campaigner Being There sets out to further extend her range as she battles four other game imports over 1,800 meters in the fifth leg of the 2005 Imported Stakes Series today at Santa Ana Park.

The five-year-old chestnut mare, known for her bullet speed off the starting game, is coming off back-to-back victories in top class company and has in fact beaten the last two winners of the Imported Stakes Series–Sound Offer (third leg) and Wild Orchid (fourth leg) in decisive fashion July 17 at Santa Ana.

Racing out of businessman Nathaniel Velasco’s Red N Stable, the classy progeny of leading US-based sire Distorted Humor (USA) out of Fanfare Bubbles (NZ) is currently hot on the comeback trail after a six-month layoff. R. Romualdez
