2002 Southwoods invitational unfolds

Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club’s 2002 Southwoods Invitational kicks off today at the challenging Masters course and the newly-re-greened Legends course in Carmona, Cavite.

Close to 350 members and guests, representing 175 teams, are competing in the two-day affair which is being presented by CAP Philippines and SMART Communications, staunch supporters of Fil-Estate golf events.

"I would like to welcome all the participants of the SW Invitational. Good luck and happy golfing," said Manila Southwoods chairman Robert John Sobrepeña.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines/Diamond Motors Corp., Princess Cruises and Wilson are sponsoring a brand-new Mitsubishi Lancer GSR, an Alaskan Cruise Package and a complete set of golf clubs as hole-in-one prizes, respectively.
