Sen. Kiko nabu-bully, Lea may payo para ‘di ma-bully ang mga anak
Bad naman talaga ang bullying na may iba’t ibang category. Merong physical and emotional attack.
Kaya naman pati si Lea Salonga hindi napigilang magbigay ng sariling opinyon sa pambu-bully ng high school student ng Ateneo na sobra ang ginawang pambu-bully sa schoolmate. Nag-file na ng complaint ang magulang ng biktima sa police.
Walang puwedeng parusa sa nam-bully na 14 years old. At ang sinisisi dito, si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan. Ito ay dahil sa juvenile justice law na si Senator Kiko ang author na basta bata ka, hanggang 15, wala kang anumang criminal liability - Republic Act 9344 of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006.
Lately lang ay maraming nag-aapelang ayusin ang nasabing batas dahil ginagamit na nga raw ang mga bata sa krimininalidad.
Kaya ang nabu-bully ngayon si Sen. Kiko. At damay pa si Ms. Sharon Cuneta.
Anyway, may advice si Lea sa mga magulang ng bata para makaiwas sa mga bully. Kahit nga naman kasi saan uso na ang bully.
“There has been so much posted online regarding the bullying incident inside the boys’ rest room of the Ateneo de Manila junior high school. Plenty of inflamed netizens have reacted, and lamented the seeming indifference of school officials due to the supposed well-connectedness of this boy’s parents. I think we all agree that the school needs to take much swifter action with regards to this boy’s pattern of behavior (there are allegedly more victims, and more videos), as well as with this boy’s accomplices, and that the bully’s parents need to come down hard on their kid. On that, we have common ground.
“For the victims, here’s one piece of advice: don’t be defenseless anymore. Parents, it might be a good idea to enroll your child in a self-defense class (aside from TKD, there’s jiu jitsu and karate, as well as other forms of martial arts that might be fun as well as useful). So that when a little s*** bully tries to mess with your son or daughter, you’re already ahead of the game. But never instigate; only defend.
“No parent should ever have to feel the terror the victims’ parents must feel, sending their beloved into what that child considers a place of dread rather than a hallowed hall of learning.
“Yes, Ateneo de Manila. We are all watching.”Walang pinipiling lugar ang mga bully at tama naman na ang solution ay ‘wag kimkimin tulad nang ginawa ni Xian Lim.
