Sharon bumabawi kay Kiko! ; Ilang beses pinag-isipang i-murder

Sa kabila ng maraming beses na gustong i-murder ni Sharon Cuneta si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, naka-24 years na pala sila. At sa more than two decades na ‘yun, inulit ni Ms. Shawie na maraming beses na sila muntik maghiwalay.

Kasalukuyan silang nasa Thailand para sa mag-celebrate ng anniversary na tinawag niyang ‘renewed appreciation for Kiko.’

“Our happy family in our happy place! THAILAND! Our kids have practically grown up coming here regularly. Yellie used to call any bed here “the tall bed.” Our favorite secret beach town! Yippee!!! Kiko and I are celebrating our 24th year as boyfriend-girlfriend today! Thank God for a secure, supportive, simple, hardworking, God-fearing, faithful, devoted husband. We’ve been through way too much together...Almost broke up too many times...but in the end, I am his home, and he is mine. Too many memories we have made with each other and our children to just throw away... I have a renewed appreciation for Kiko... The mere fact that he and I have fought so many times over two decades - but NEVER over another woman - is a gift from God. No palpitations, no crying at night wondering where or with whom my husband may be - PRECIOUS. Even if I want to murder my hubby sometimes, as I’m sure he sometimes wants to kill me too (with kisses. Yuuck! Hahaha!) - I suspect we will always be together.

Women’s filmfest tutulong sa mga baguhang filmmakers

Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Kababaihan, nag-partner ang Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) at Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) para sa Cine­Marya - isang festival ng short films tungkol sa mga kababaihan.

 “The festival aims to tell stories of Filipino wo­men, more than their beauty, but their strength and passion, rising above the prejudice and struggles in society,” pahayag ni FDCP Chairperson and CEO Liza Diño sa ginanap na press launching ng CineMarya noong March 23 sa FDCP Cinematheque Center Manila. 

Present sa launching ng short film festival sina DILG Asec. Marjorie Jalosjos at Chief of Corporate Affairs and Information Resource Management Division of the Philippine Commission on Women Ms. Honey M. Castro.

Magbibigay ang CineMarya ng seed money na one hundred thousand pesos (P100,000.00) sa mapipiling participants - edad 18 hanggang 30 years old para makapag-produce ng 10 to 20-minute short films tungkol sa women empowerment, at iba’t ibang roles ng mga kababaihan sa lipunan at awareness tungkol sa social issues on women and equality.

Ang CineMarya ay bukas para sa mga filmmaker na hindi pa nakakagawa ng isang buong pelikula o dokyumentaryo.

Bilang parte ng Festival, ang FDCP ay gagawa ng educational component para sa sampung finalists ng CineMarya sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng two (2) slots (para sa direktor at isa pang representative) para sa FDCP Filmmaking Workshop Series – Planting Seeds at Film Industry Conference kasabay ng Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) 2018.

Ang mga mapipili ay magkakaroon ng pagkakataong maisama sa CineMarya film camp – ito ay ang 2-day intensive filmmaking workshop sa Rizal kasama ang mga batikang filmma­kers, PCW representatives, at iba pa. Ang producer at direktor ng bawat entry ay magiging fellows ng intensive program na ito para sa project development upang mas mailahad ng mabuti ang women empowerment. 

Maaari nang magpasa ng kanilang mga entries sa FDCP mula April 1, 2018 hanggang June 30, 2018.

MAS palalakihin ngayong 2018

Speaking of FDCP, kinumpirma rin ni FDCP Chair and CEO Liza na naghahanda na sila para sa ikalawang taon ng Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) na gaganapin sa August.

This year, walong original film lang ang magi­ging entries.

Last year, 12 films ang nag-participate. Pero ang iba dun ay nanggaling na sa iba’t ibang film festival pero hindi nagkaroon ng commercial run.

This time, ayon kay Ms. Liza, all new movies ang ipalalabas.

Malaking tagumpay ang ginanap noong 1st PPP last year kung saan all Filipino films lang ang palabas sa lahat ng mga sinehan.
