Hiniya raw ang staff at nagsisinungaling Albay Gov. Salceda ayaw tanggapin ang sorry ni Xian

SEEN: Ang paliwanag ni Xian Lim sa isyu ng diumano’y pagtanggi niya na isuot ang Albay T-shirt na ibinigay sa kanya nang mag-perform siya sa Fiesta Tsinoy ng Albay City:

“I just read an online article about an incident which is deeply upsetting because it doesn’t tell the right story. In the article I was quoted as saying ‘I am not here to promote Albay’, something I never said or would ever say.

“Earlier, the author of the online article handed me a coffee table book of Albay and a t-shirt to wear. My exact words to her were ‘Sorry po, hindi ko maisuot yung t-shirt kasi baka magka-conflict sa clothing endorsement ko. Pasensiya na po.’ Later on, someone reported her as saying ‘Ayaw daw niya,’

“I deeply apologize to Governor Salceda and the people of Albay for the misunderstanding about my reasons for refusal to wear the t-shirt.”

“My parents raised me to be respectful and generous to everyone, and my management has always stressed the virtues of decency and humility. I do not do drugs and have worked hard to get to where I am.

“If you send me the t-shirt and after I have cleared it with my clothing endorsement, I would be more than happy to wear it online and on air. I am also very willing to promote the book of Albay.”

SCENE: May mga history ng pagtataray si Xian Lim kaya pinagdududahan ang kanyang paliwanag na hindi siya nagsalita ng “I’m not here to promote Albay” nang ibigay sa kanya ni Atty. Carol Sabio ang Albay T-shirt at coffee table book nang imbitahan siya sa Fiesta Tsinoy sa Albay City noong February 19. Si Atty. Sabio ang Chief of Staff ni Governor Joey Salceda ng Albay. 

SEEN : Hindi pinalampas ni Albay Governor Joey Salceda ang paliwanag ni Xian Lim at ang hindi raw nito pagsasabi ng totoo:

“Ordinary staff ng PTCAO ang ininsulto at hiniya ni Xian Lim. Together with ordinary Albayanos, they are the ones who work hard, silently and patiently for Albay tourism. And based on the prevarications on his posts, he is not getting it.

1. Hindi namin pinapasuot ang t-shirt sa guests. Binibigay lang.

2. The mere fact that coffee book table is called Warm Albay and the t-shirt is Warm Albay should already be obvious that these are typical touristic materials.

The PTCAO incident morally approximates the cruelty and brutality in Maguindanao, and what’s worse we did not pay the MILF P350,000 to do it and we expected something better from him since he is not a terrorist, instead an artist. No forgiveness deserved.

PTCAO gave souvenir Tshirt printed with - “Warm Albay” Xian Lim rejected it.

Then Xian Lim says why: I AM NOT HERE TO PROMOTE ALBAY.

We give all our guests touristic materials. One of them is a Warm Albay t-shirt, not “I love Albay” t-shirt. This proves he did not see the t-shirt since with so much gallantry, he shooed the staff trying na “iabot sa kanya” evidently for that one photo shot at fame.

You can ask thousands of guests we host at PTCAO if we ever ask them to wear it. Never, we just give it to them so they have souvenir.

The issue is he said “I AM NOT HERE TO PROMOTE ALBAY”. Our chief-of-staff posted it as a comment as early as 1 pm yesterday. We did not upload it because we did not want to affect the Fiesta Tsinoy affair.
