Valerie Weigmann kinoronahang Miss World Philippines 2014
MANILA, Philippines -Nanaig ang ganda at talino ni Valerie Weigmann para kilalaning Miss World Philippines 2014 kagabi sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.
Nais ni Valerie na hikayatin ang publiko na magtulungan para sa pagbabago na inaasama ng lahat sa bansa.
"I believe in the importance of empathy and compassion because I see, if all of us can all come together, we can all be advocates of change. And I want to inspire and encourage everyone to take up personal advocacy," sagot niya sa tanong na "Why should you win Miss World Philippines?"
Pasok naman sa top 5 sina Lorraine Kendrickson (1st Princess), Nelda Ibe (2nd Princess), Nicole Donesa (3rd Princess), at Rachel Peters (4th Princess).
Bukod sa korona ay nasungkit din ng 24-anyos ang Best in Swimsuit, Best in Fashion Runway at Best in Long Gown.
"Ako naman napaka-speechless kasi hindi ko naman inexpect. Ang daming awards! Saka yung title, syempre. Kaya masayang-masaya ako," sabi ng "Eat Bulaga" co-host.
"Nabigla talaga ako sa dami ng supporters and the love I received from everyone."
Pinalitan ni Valerie si Miss World Philippines 2013 Megan Young.
"Ako naman, win or lose, it's still the experience that I gained. Of course, you never know what's going to happen. But for me right now, God is good."
