Epekto ng social media

Base sa pag-aaral, mga Pinoy ang pinakababad sa internet. Nag-a-average ng mahigit 10-hours ang inuubos ng mga Pinoy sa pagpe-Facebook, panunood ng videos, pag-i-stalk ng mga kung sinu-sino sa social media at ‘yung iba panonood ng movies o pagge-games.

Guilty!!! Aminado ako na isa ako sa takot mawalan ng internet, hindi mapakali kapag naiwan sa bahay ang cellphone at hindi pinapalipas ang buong araw na hindi masisilip ang social media ko.

‘Yung nakahiga o nakaupo ka lang ng 10-hours habang online kaka-stalk sa mga pina-follow mong kung sinu-sino. Kung minsan ay may kinukutkot ka pa habang nagba-browse o habang nanonood.

 ‘Tapos nagtataka pa bakit nagge-gain ng weight o hindi naglo-lose ng weight?

Pero may natutunan ako sa pakikinig sa sports nutritionist na si Dr. Dana Ryan, director for Sports Performance and Education ng Herbalife Nutrition.

Suggestion ni Dr. Ryan, sabayan ng anumang physical activity ang pag-o-online.

“Unless you’re doing a physical activity while your online, it’s not healthy to stay inactive for long periods of time.  It increases the chances of serious diseases such as cancer and diabetes,” sabi ni Dr. Ryan, isa sa Herbalife Nutrition Scientific Leadership.

Naisip ko tuloy, kung ginamit ko na lang sana ‘yung mga oras ng pagpe-facebook o panonood ng K-drama sa pag-e-exercise o sa anumang sports na gusto ko o kaya kong gawin, sana hindi ko na kailangang mag-diet ng matindi para magbawas ng timbang.

“Take up some physical activity that you love, That way you wont see it as a chore, so you can do it regularly,” sabi ni Dr. Ryan. “Find a class, program or sports that you can attend with a workout buddy and set a goal to stay motivated.”

Sinabi rin ni Dr. Ryan na ‘di maganda ang pag-iwas sa mga nutrients tulad ng carbohydrates at protein na kailangan ng ating katawan.

“When it comes to keeping healthy, just always remember balance as the body needs a complex blend of nutients to remain healthy ani Dr. Ryan. “Balance the calories you take in and what you burn and your weight would remain stable.

Mungkahi rin ni Dr. Dana na imbes na i-follow o panoorin ang kung sino at kung anu-ano, piliin ang mga bagay na makakatulong sa iyong physical at well being.
